The Process

From First Conversation to Your Celebration

What happens between your first inquiry and the moment you walk into your decorated space.

Step 01

The Discovery Conversation

30 minutes — Free
Step 01

The Discovery Conversation

We begin by listening, not pitching. We ask about your family's history with celebrations, what you remember from weddings or ceremonies you loved, what you definitely don't want, and what matters most to the people who matter most to you. The goal isn't to sell — it's to understand.

Outcome

A deep understanding of your event's emotional and visual language

Step 02

The Custom Design Brief

5 business days after consultation
Step 02

The Custom Design Brief

We translate your conversation into a visual concept — a mood board with color palette, key elements, material suggestions, and a rough layout plan. This is a starting point for conversation, not a final presentation. Every detail is open for refinement.

Outcome

A custom design brief you can see, react to, and iterate on

Step 03

Sourcing & Procurement

Weeks before the event
Step 03

Sourcing & Procurement

Once the design is approved, we handle all sourcing — fresh flowers, fabrics, rental pieces, and any specialty items. We have relationships with local suppliers and specialty vendors that allow us to source items most decorators can't get. For fresh flowers, we confirm timing to ensure peak freshness on your event day.

Outcome

Every element secured, timed, and ready for your event

Step 04

Setup & Styling Day

4–8 hours before your event
Step 04

Setup & Styling Day

Our designer arrives early and personally oversees every element of the setup. We don't delegate and leave — we stay through the process, make real-time adjustments as the space comes together, and ensure that the space you walk into matches what you imagined. Teardown happens after the event — you don't need to worry about a single piece.

Outcome

A celebration space that feels exactly right — because it was designed to

Real Stories

Three Celebrations, Three Unique Designs

south-indian-weddingGrandMeydenbauer Center, Bellevue

Lakshmi & Ravi — South Indian Wedding

A grand South Indian wedding with a temple-arch mandap, fresh jasmine entrance walkway, banana-leaf inspired table runners, and marigold garland cascades. The family's deep roots in Vijayawada guided every design choice — a beautiful Telugu Pellikuthuru tradition.

The Client's Vision

The family wanted a traditional Telugu Pellikuthuru feel — temple-inspired mandap, the scent of fresh jasmine filling the hall — but set within a modern Bellevue ballroom. The bride's mother specifically requested fresh jasmine for the entrance. It was a childhood memory from their home in Vijayawada, and she wanted to walk her daughter into her wedding surrounded by that same fragrance.

Our Design Approach

We spent two consultations just listening to the mother's memories. From there, our designer created a temple-arch mandap using hand-carved wooden pillars with antique gold draping, intentionally referencing Tirupati temple architecture without copying it directly. The color story — banana-leaf green with marigold yellow and deep red — is authentic to Telugu Pellikuthuru tradition. We sourced fresh jasmine garlands specifically for the 40-foot entrance walkway. Everything else flowed from those two anchors: the jasmine and the temple.

cradle-ceremonyPremiumWillows Lodge, Woodinville

Baby Ananya's Cradle Ceremony / Naming Ceremony

A tender Namakaranam celebration for baby Ananya, surrounded by soft pink roses, white hydrangeas, and delicate gold accents. The cradle was custom-draped in silk matched to the mother's heirloom dupatta and surrounded by a floral cloud canopy.

The Client's Vision

The parents — both from Telugu families, raised in the US — wanted something that honored the Namakaranam tradition but also felt like a celebration of baby Ananya as an individual. The mother had saved a pale blush dupatta from her own childhood naming ceremony and wanted to incorporate that exact shade of pink. She brought the fabric to our first meeting.

Our Design Approach

That dupatta became our color anchor for the entire design. We matched it precisely — a very specific dusty rose-blush that sits between pink and peach. The traditional cradle (thottil) was draped in matching silk with gold zari trim, elevated on a riser draped in white and green. Surrounding it: a canopy of white hydrangeas, blush roses, and trailing greenery that felt organic, almost like the cradle was nestled in a garden. We kept marigolds minimal — a small garland on the cradle honoring tradition without overwhelming the softness of the palette.

housewarmingClassicPrivate Residence, Sammamish

Priya & Kiran — Housewarming (Gruhapravesam / Griha Pravesh)

A traditional Gruhapravesam ceremony for a newly built home in Sammamish. Fresh mango-leaf torans for every doorway, hand-drawn Kolam rangoli, a decorated kalash placed per the priest's vastu guidance, and the scent of fresh marigold throughout.

The Client's Vision

Priya's parents had flown in from Hyderabad for this Gruhapravesam and were very clear: they wanted it to feel like back home. Mango leaf torans at every doorway, a proper kalash setup, rangoli at the entrance, and fresh flowers — no plastic, no artificial anything. They also wanted the threshold ritual fully honored, which required coordinating with the priest's specific instructions.

Our Design Approach

Authentic Gruhapravesam is one of our favorite ceremonies because it is deeply rooted in the land — mango leaves, turmeric, rice — things that connect a new home to the earth. We sourced fresh mango leaves from a specialty Indian grocery supplier and created custom torans for five doorways. The entryway rangoli was hand-drawn the morning of the event in traditional Kolam style. The kalash was decorated with fresh flowers and placed precisely where the priest directed. The color story was simple and true: green, turmeric yellow, and white — the colors of a Telugu home blessing.
